Lab Rat Science Club is Science AL!VE’s co-ed science, engineering and technology club for kids! The focus is on exploring the fascinating world of Science, Engineering and Technology through hands-on activities, take-home projects, and presentations given by enthusiastic young scientists.
How old do I need to be to join?
We have two Lab Rat streams; Lab Rats Junior for grades 2 through 4 and Lab Rats Senior for grades 5 through 7. Participants from the both Lab Rats Science clubs will meet at the same time and locations. They will participate in dynamic labs and activities specialized for their respective age groups, as well as have large joint projects all together!
Meeting Time
Meetings are held every second Saturday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
Fall Session
- Sept. 10-Nov.19, 2011 (Every Second Saturday)
Spring Session
- Jan. 14-Mar. 24, 2012 (Every Second Saturday)
Meeting Location
Most meetings (except field trips) are held at Simon Fraser University (Burnaby campus).
Club Cost
- Fall = $60.00 for 6 meetings
- Spring = $60.00 for 6 meetings
- Both Sessions = $110.00 for 12 meetings
