Science AL!VE Weekend Workshops are designed to keep that summer fun and learning going throughout the school year. Last year, we started our Lego Mindstorms NXT Weekend workshops. They have been very successful and therefore we are offering them again Spring 2010. Please read on for more information on this program!

Lego Mindstorms NXT Weekend Workshops

The NEW Lego Mindstorms NXT is at Science AL!VE!!! Lego Mindstorms NXT is a lego robotic and programming kit that came out in the summer of 2006! Science AL!VE was one of the first programs in Canada to get the kits and have campers using them. Campers are so excited about this new robotics system that Science AL!VE is now having Lego Mindstorms NXT Weekend Workshops.

Science AL!VE is excited to be expanding this opportunity to participants currently in grades 2 through 7! Through the development of two age-streamed challenges, students in grades 2-7 will work one-on-one with the Lego Mindstorms NXT kits! Due to this unique learning environment, the weekend workshops have limited space available! Each of the Lego Mindstorms NXT Weekend Workshops will have a different theme and challenge, allowing participants to come to one or multiple weekend workshops.
